Our friend who is owner of an exterminator business recommended this as what he’d used to get rid of our ants. After using this I honestly don’t know why anyone would use anything else. If I could give it 12 stars I would. In order for it to work, you use only this – no other pesticides (they just alert the ants to find another route, they know the scent and it repels them, which is why you can kill the ones you see and they’ll just keep multiplying underground and finding other ways into the house). Make it work: You apply it liberally wherever you see the ants. Use the plunder to squirt a nice long goopy line right by where they’re coming in through the wall or even outside where you see them. Don’t touch or spray anything else in that area, just let them swarm all over it and eat it up. Don’t even wipe dead ants away as you see them, because that will repel them as well. They’ll take loads of it back to the hive underground and feed it to the entire colony, INCLUDING THE QUEEN! Every day, if you still see even one ant coming, apply more for them to eat. You may notice that as the ants die, the other ants retrieve them. This is normal.

Long story short: The place I’m staying at has a serious problem with ants. And it’s got a serious problem with ants because the people that live in this neighborhood are disgusting slobs that don’t pick up after themselves. My wife went to get some Raid ant poison, but because I’m not at all a patient man, decided to kick things up a notch. Scoured the Internet for “the best poison to kill ants immediately”, and this was one of the top results. Fortunately, it was also available through Amazon Prime, so I took the plunge. I’d read—either here or elsewhere—that there would be an immediate reaction to the Advion gel: They would all flock to it and immediately begin consuming it and/or taking it back to their colony. Welp, first day I tried it their ant conga line ended up hitting it and did an immediate about face. “Nope,” I said, “I’m gonna force you to chow down on this.” So I drew a circle around the largest mass of ants I could and, once they realized they couldn’t go anywhere, they sure enough plunged head first into it. I made circles around other retreating ants, and they did the same thing.
